It is featured on Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits album from 1988. "As Long As You Follow" is a love song that was written and performed by McVie and her then-husband, Eddy Quintela.

FWIW, this copy is better than my original pressing from the late 80's ever was.Lyrics you'll love: "Now I know I can't lose/As long as you follow/I'm gonna win The other upshot is you get these tracks on a clean, very quiet pressing, since in many cases folks original albums have quite a bit of wear, especially the more popular tracks.įor 22$ at your local Target, Wal-mart or on Amazon, pick up a copy today. It doesn't matter if you buy this compilation as a fill-in, to own the best tracks ( everyone has different taste with regards to best of) between '75 and '89, without buying every single LP, or if you simply like the packaging of songs presented here, you will be pleased with this reissue. Whatever limitations were presented, they were dealt with properly. Again, with the number of tracks on each side some concessions must be made. I am so very impressed with this album, I've played it twice so far tonight, and it's next spin it will be to record the album to 2 track stereo tape at 7 1/2 ips, preserving the album itself.ĭo the tracks sound as good as say the Rumours LP pressed on 2 45 RPM discs? No of course not. Whatever they did, they did it really well. Whether they used digital files here, files from the original compilation in '88 or went back to previous remastered files then built the lacquer from scratch, I don't know. Song quality is much more dynamic and warm, laid back compared to the cold CD, more like the Cassette which was quite good. Well Made Music and Precision Lacquer really did their jobs well on this reissue. Sound quality is excellent, I mean really really great. Considering the sheer number of titles they have on each side, sibilance isn't present anywhere, even on the inner most bands of tracks on side A and B, As Long As You Follow and No Questions Asked. Listening attributes are excellent if you are into dead quiet, the absence of noise during the run in, between bands and deadwax area, is most gratifying.

I cleaned my copy and gave it a new MoFi rice paper sleeve to live in. Vinyl quality itself is very good, flat, quiet, clean, handled and packed without any damage or noise making anomalies. In this case, the vinyl is thick enough to dodge a bullet. History teaches us it can cause bad things to happen to vinyl. I prefer perforated the bags, Classic Records and MoFi vinyl as well as other recent titles come in. So, I'll give my quick and dirty impressions here.įirst off, I'm not happy with the recent trend of shrink wrapping an LP to within an inch of it's life. I've searched all over the Hoffman forums and have yet to read a review for this reissue.
#LISTEN TO FLEETWOOD GREATEST HITS MAC#
If you like the Mac during the Nicks/Buckingham era forward, the Greatest Hits compilation is quite good. I don't own anything older than Mystery To Me, though I've frequently heard the songs from the Peter Green years, and I own Bob Welch's solo work, French Kiss being my favorite of his. It depends on which body of Fleetwood Mac you are more familiar with or like.
